SOOOO yeah walked down to see my babies a second ago and Shae was over on Tyrions side of the tank there IS a divider in there and they can't see each other unless Shae is at the top of her perch. Well she squeezed through the top and I found her laying next to Tyrion.

When I grabbed Shae Tyrion started bobbing his head at me and while Shae was in my hands she lowered her head at me.

They are separated again and I fixed the divider, I just thought this was strange behavior.

That is weird. Maybe they just wanted to say hi to each other :p

I thought that, you would have had to of been there though, it was kind of eerie. lol
I saw his beard was purple so I didn't want to even see what was going to happen. Anyway she is pregnant so I don't want anything to happen to any future Shaes' and Tyrions' :D

So if she is trying to get out does that mean she is ready to lay eggs? Or if she didn't get pregnant a couple weeks ago when I had them together could this mean she may be ready now?

Now I am in no means an expert on their laying behaviors, as mine is not even old enough to breed yet, let alone lay. However, from what I've read on this forum and other sources, good indications of a female about to lay are:

1.) Constant "I want out" attitude, banging on glass
2.) Constant scratching, sometimes in dark corners, under logs/hides
3.) Appetite slows or even stops completely

I know I may be missing a few things, but I believe those are the main signs of a female ready to lay. Hope this helps!

So if this is the case and she wants out she hasn't even been pregnant for two weeks yet. It will be two weeks on the 18th, should I put her in the lay bin? I also put a mound of fresh sand in her tank in case I didn't get her in her bin in time. I have been keeping the calcium sand pile wet more recently since I have been reaching close to the date.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
