Severely ill boy

I took in a very ill beardie and his girlfriend from a friend whom I met through my herp club. I met this beardie about a year ago and he had slight tremors and the early minor underbite. He's about 4-5 years and has a severe scoliosis of his spine near the base of his tail. It is interfering with his ability to poop, only small amounts at a time. His jaw is receding. I have liquid calcium, calcium glubionate that I have been giving him @ 1ml/kg dose daily. He about 200g so he gets .3ml. Oh, yeah he has really awful tremors, too but They have gotten a little better since I started. I have had him one week. He flips over and I have found him on his back a couple of times now. It's because of the bend in his back, I have watched him. The bottom half of his tail is getting darker with a thinning at the darker part. When I pinch it there's no response. He might have a RI, have noticed mucus around his mouth and he makes like little gasps now and then. Don't worry the setup is good, my reptisun 10 is getting alittle old and will be replaced soon. So my questions are:

How often should he get calcium? Dose ok?
Eating is fair. Babyfood chicken and squash with a coupla supers now and then.
Giving him reptaid, too.
Do I bother trying to get him better? Is he too far gone?
Vet swore when he saw him and said get him on the calicium (my former exotics teacher, I'm finishing up my vet tech schooling and he forgot to fill me in on the dose).
I am really not sure how much I put him thru at this point.
Should I just be giving supportive care at this point? Any advice is welcome.... Thanks! He's such a sweet little boy and we love him already.

I'm very sorry to hear that. That breaks my heart. I hope he pulls through and everything turns out okay.

What are you feeding him and how much are you feeding him? Also, what is your dust schedule?
I suggest you keep giving him intensive care. Don't give up on him either!

And you have mentioned you brought him to a herpetologist? The mucus around his mouth doesn't sound good at all, it sounds like some sort of bacterial infection, and are you sure he has scoliosis and didn't have a form of MBD?
Do you know how these people before you raised him?
Also, what kind of substrate is he on?

I hope the best for you and your beardie.

First thing I would do is get him to a vet, he needs the tail and respiratory infection treated. As far as the MBD, you can stop it from getting worse but he will always have the kinked bones. Keep giving the liquid calcium daily and make sure he is getting enough water too. If he is having trouble going poo, I wouldn't feed any supers. Can you get any soft worms like butters or silkies?
Keep feeding the baby food for now, he needs his strength. I would make sure his cage is handicapable, lower his lights/basking area so he doesn't have to climb.

If you PM Drache613, she can help with the dosage. She is our go to guru when it comes to meds.

No dust he's on the liquid cal. He is on tile with nothing in the tank to limit his falling over. I burrito him for bed time and unburrito him before he wakes up. I am wrapped around his little claw already Yes it's mbd. Hypocalciumic. He saw an exotic vet but the mucus prob just started. Daily baths. He was on walnut shells. He's sooo bent that I worry about his quality of life. That's my big concern. I do not want him suffering and going thru more meds if it's not gonna work. If the tail needs to come off he will not pull thru. Sigh....

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
