What is the most safe and best method for going about setting up several appliances?

Basically I have 3 bulbs with each respective enclosure, heat, UVB, and a third for eventually a CHE when temps go below 65. I basically want to setup a timer for the heat & UVB to turn on/off a certain times, but at the same time want the ability to put the heat bulb on a dimmer for changes of seasons to keep the temperature at the right levels. I also want a 2nd timer for the CHE for when temps do drop below 65, and have it come on/off opposite of the heat/uvb obviously. Just seems all confusing and not sure what is all available out there, and want to make sure everything is all safe too.

basically, what you described is exactly what you should do. get a timer that has multiple outlets on it. plug a dimmer switch into one outlet and plug your heat lamp into that. plug your uvb into another outlet on that same timer. then get a separate timer for the che. setup both timers for the appropriate times, adjust your dimmer, and you'll be all set.

Sweet, see I didn't know they had timers that allowed you to plug more than one appliance into its thats why I was confused. I guess I'll go to a hardware store sometime soon!
