So sorry to hear that he didn't make it.
I really hope that this experience doesn't discourage you from the possibility of sharing your home with reptiles in the future.
You did the right thing by seeking out help, I'm just sorry that he'd already given up.

Thank you all so much for all of your kind words and advice. Today has been a rough day for all of us. But we know he is in a better place and whatever was wrong with him, is no longer making him suffer. We loved him dearly, and we will miss him.
