Seperating them?

I have two Bearded dragons. Got them both from Bloodbank dragons. Beautiful and healthy. The male(Chunk) is just over 16 inches, and the female ( Pricilla) is 14.5. He just recently started to be a bully with her. So I put her in another tank. But now they are like two love struck teen's. They sit at the end of their cages and goo goo over each other. But when I put them in the big tank together, he hogs all the food, and will take the prime basking spots by force. Out of the tanks on the floor they seem fine together. But I don't want to get up one morning and fine her with a shorter tail or missing toes either. So should I let em apart or let them stay together?
BTW they both do fine apart, eating well and a very active. But looks like they miss each other.

Keep them apart. You even said so yourself, they do fine apart

Ok now I have had to resort to a blind of some sort. Chunk is not only heading bobbing, but arm waving at the same time. And Pricilla is just waving like crazy. So I blocked some of his view on half of her tank so there is some alone time for her. Hope she catches up in size. She seems a lot more active on her own now.

We started with a female, and recently rescued a male. The two glass enclosures are side by side and have blinds inside of each enclosure. Somehow, they were able to see eachother and would spend all day on the cooler end of their enclosures as you were describing. We had to add a lid to our plastic bin to completely seperate them.....

Its funny how they were able to see eachother through two sets of blinds. Try to get something that puts a true barrier between them.....
