Separate Dubias or Not

Once again after researching the net I've decided to bring this back to the forum. I have 2 bins setup right now a breeder bin with 42 females and 3 males and another bin with 200+Mixed dubias. Should I just put them all together for now until my colony is established or keep them separated? Would the breeders do better around more roaches? :banghead:

Thanks in advance

Alot of people separate them just because it easier to feed the dragon, and i do think it gives the breeding adults space and what not

Thanks for the response. The thing is I'm not feeding from it at all. I don't plan to feed from it until maybe 3-4 months from now.

i had a dark blue one but it wasnt doing as well as my red.... i've always had 2 seperate bins... i left them both alone for a few months then i fed from my red for a month and swapped over to my blue for a month, what are you using for heat? one of my problmes was i couldnt get it warm enough... i changed over to using a ceramic heating element, so it stays nice and cozy in there...

I'm using a human heating pad set to low it has the bin temp at 104F. Is this to hot for my dubia and turks?

I dont know about the turks never had them before. But for dubias thats to hot and could kill your colony. If your having problems with the heating pad. Put a light dimmer on it to lower down the temps. Or rise up the bin just a tad so its not sitting on top of the heating pad. You want to be around 90 to 91 is a good temp for them.

honestly they were both darker colors but i noticed more roach babies in my red and in my blue, i had a few here and there but not anywhere near as many as my red, i dunno what the difference was honestly... just an observation. Maybe its that red is a sexy color? idk, but it makes sense... :)

I'm thinking of spraying some of my wife's Victoria Secret's perfume into my bin to spice things up. LMAO

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
