Sealing Question

I'm going to build my own enclosure that will be 4'x2'x2'. I went to my local Home Depot and bought the wood and they cut it to size for me. I'm going to use tile for the bottom and make fake rocks. I read here on one of the threads that someone painted the top of the inside white to relfect the light. I was thinking of doing this and possibly painting the sides. I will be using an acrylic ceiling paint. I know that since I'm going to stain the outside I need to seal it. My question is do I need to seal the paint on the inside?

I would like some input please.

paint can be used to seal wood. if you want you can seal over the paint, that will make it easy to clean and keep it from roting (sp??)

Keep in mind you will have UV light on the inside of the enclosure. Acrylic ceiling paints don't typically have any UV protection. You might want to use an exterior paint hat has uv inhibitors.

If you're using exterior paint, be sure to check that it is low VOC.
