Scratching

Earlier this morning I was woken up by our dragon digging into the corner of his viv. He has never done this before, except when we first got him and he dug the area where he slept (and still sleeps). When I checked on him he has somehow managed to throw all the substrate and a plastic cactus across the viv and it sat in this bare spot still scatching at the corner. I've checked and there is nothing there he wants, he has fresh food and water, I've let him out but he just climbes back in and goes back to his digging. Just wondering what on earth he is trying to do? He's been a very happy little chap since we got him, we take him out everyday for a play, let him sit out on warm days, take him to different rooms too so he's not always stuck in our room. I'm not sure it is related at all but recently one of our cats has started coming into our room to curl up beside the viv for the warmth, has she just scared him??

Sometimes they just do that! LOL I know mine do. Sometimes I take them out then, sometimes I don't.

One other thing......are you SURE its a male? The only reason I say that is because we thought we had a male, until she had eggs in her belly and was scratching and messing up the tank non stop to try and get out to lay her eggs.

I've been looking and he's deffo a male. Just a bit odd I guess. Also I always read about usual dragon behaviour and our Eddie hasn't ever waved his arms or bobbed his head...sometimes I think he doesn't realise he is a dragon!!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
