scratching UVB light?

Hi,

Recently, my female has started climbing to the top of her log in her cage and scratching at her UVB bulb. I dont know why this is but it is driving me crazy. She is a very docile girl, she is about 7 months old, and spends most of her day basking. But like I said, recently she will do whatever she can to get to her UVB bulb and scratch it. It is a reptiSUN 10.0, and her cage runs at about 102-103F on the warm side. Lately she has also been puffing her beard, not in anger, it doesnt turn color, but she will puff it and deflate it 3-4x in a row and then yawn once and off she goes. Is that normal?

have you recently replaced the uv bulb?

Well we just got it last month. I was told they need to be replaced like every 4 so I didnt think to question the bulb. Does it need to be replaced monthly?

i wouldn't say monthly.
4 months should be suffice

Dudley does that too when he feels hyper.

I replace my UVB every 6 months.
