Scratching up his fake rock wall

So, Rey has been tearing the life out of his foam rock wall background. It's kind of funny, because when I come home he always has those tiny little foam balls all over his head and back; and I swear he likes the squeeky noise it makes because he just looks evil when he's scratching and making noise lol. Anyways, I was wondering if I should just remove the foam wall? I think it's possible it could be harmful if he eats it, and I really don't know for sure whether he's eating it or not. Some days I come home and the floor is COVERED with the little foam balls, and he looks at me like "what? I didn't do it!" It doesn't even look like rocks anymore. So, the question is, should I take it out?

I would take it out, you never know if he eats it.

I used to keep the exo terra foam background in my tank until she started to rip it up by trying to clime it. Then i took it out because it was a pain to clean up and in case she ingests it. :mrgreen:

Better safe than sorry right?
Take them out and replace them will actual rocks that he can climb on if u like.
It's a sure bet he tasted it a few times, they always lick everything around them

Is the background used for anything or is it just there to look good? If it's just for decoration you better take it away.

However, fake backgrounds with shelfs works very well for beardies. Then they got something extra to climb on and it looks good. How about adding some styrofoam shelfs (if it doesn't have shelfs already) and cover the whole thing with grout? It's a shame to waste a background because it's so easy to fix them up.

Yep, it's coming out of the tank. It's gotten to the point of complete destruction lol! I was wondering where I could get a background of real rocks/rock ledges? Or maybe some instructions on how to make one myself would be helpful? Thanks, guys! You're all so informative!
