Scrambled eggs????

So I had to go to Pet smart to get some things and when waiting on my worms I started talking to one of the workers about my babies and had made a comment about Princess not eating. She said to try some scrambled eggs? I have never heard of this so I thought I would ask you guys. Thanks

Scrambles eggs are not to be used as a regular food source, but they can be given once or twice a week, and also in a pinch if you don't have any feeders due to bad weather or other reasons. You can microwave one with no oil and give little pieces to little dragons, big pieces to big dragons. Most, but not all, beardies will eat them.

it might be common knowledge, but make sure you open the egg before microwaving it or it will explode.

Just an in case statement, in case anyone takes the advice of microwaving an egg to literally.

Nothing is common knowledge. There's always somebody that doesn't know that. I didn't. Luckily I have enough sense to put the egg in a bowl first..... But I kinda wanna try it now, just to watch it explode.

It is fun watching them explode, but I am glad it will be you cleaning up the gazillion pieces of egg. lol Just dont wait for the egg to cool like I did. It is like frigging cement. I had to use a plastic windshield scraper to get all of it off.

I agree that you could feed them once in a while but would make sure not to mix any milk in with it because beardies can't digest dairy products. Let us know how he likes them.

Well I tried one egg earlier this week and Princess didn't care for them She is still not wanting to eat anything. I this Repti-aid stuff works. I'm going to try again this weekend and she if she will eat them. I did get her to eat 5 waxworms Tue. after her 2nd dose of Repti-aid . Thanks for every ones help.


By they way I hope no one stuck a whole egg in the microwave. Please Please always put it in a bowl first

How do you cook the egg like do u break it and put in a plate and microwave it ?? Or cook it on the stove no salt or or peper

I just cracked on in a bowl and scrambled them and put them in the microwave for like 45 sec and they were cooked then stirred let cool for a min then feed them. Princess has not been up in 3 days so I will be trying to wake her up tomorrow and seeing if she will try them again.

Sometimes I scramble in a pan without adding butter or anything. Today I gave him some hard boiled eggs and he loves them just the same.

I fixed the scrambled eggs after reading this and tried them with my crew and none of them would eat the eggs. I finally got Gobi to try one bite and she shook it violently then spit it out. So I am guessing that eggs are not going to be on the dragon menu around here.
