Scaly lump on eyelid just came off - treatment?

Hi,

My beardie has had this thick lump of crusty skin on his eyelid for a while now. I asked about it last time I had him at the vets and he examined him and said if it got bigger to come back. But he didn't say what it might be or tell me to put anything on it.

It's come off again with his current shed when I was bathing him , and the area looks a bit pitted but isn't an open wound that I can see. Is there anything I should put on the area to help it heal? Last time this happened it grew back so I'll keep an eye on it and see what happens but would be useful to know if I should put anything on it, i.e. iodine or something.

Hi you might want to try unpasteurized honey. Thats a good antiseptic. Water it down with warm water and put it on with a qtip.

Poor baby is shedding on his face just now and been rubbing against things to loosen the skin. Gave him a bath and he's settled for the night. Might try the honey thing tomorrow, I take it that it won't run into his eye. Is Manuka honey ok to use, I dunno if unpasteurised honey is easy to obtain?

Yes the Manuka honey is fine. The unpasteurized is the kind you find in health food stores.

That's an old picture of how it looked first time around. After it fell off it grew back and was just a little raised spot of hard crusty skin, which has now fallen off again.
