Next question. My beardie becomes darker whenever he gets under his basking spot (actually he becomes dark whenever he gets under some warm light source, including the regular sunlight. In both cases (sunlight, and bulb) stress marks appear as well (always only with the darkening). Both disapear immediately after he gets removed from that source but he keeps coming to the spot. Does this mean that the heat is improper or is it not normal (since his reaction doesn't differ from when the sunlight shines on him. Stress marks and dark coloration come regardless)?

Something is off --- are you using a bright white basking bulb or a off white or yellowish bulb? Basking temps are what? And how are you taking them? NO stick ons they are inaccurate- you need a digital probe thermometer to get actual basking temps-- how old is the dragon? No colored bulbs please

The bulb is more yellowish. Cannot get a white one cause here they only sell yellow ones. Idk about the temps because the bulb was instaled a short time ago. No stick ons. Keep in mind that he becomes the same when he's exposed to regular sunlight (indors and outdors). If you're thinking about getting stuff like tubes and white bulbs there's no chance. Our country's no USA. It's the same bulb you said was fine when I mentioned in to you last time and I only bought it because of approval. If there's something wrong with it then it's 50€ thrown away.

Ok can you post a pic of it again please the bulb-- if hes turning dark hes trying to absorb heat - mine will turn dark or black when he sits on the back of my chair in the LR in front of my big window in the sun-- what wattage are you using -- you need to get a actual basking temp -- that can tell you if hes warm enough --- basking temps and UVB are the most important things in the tank -- what does his poop look like? Is he getting it digested no insects coming out that you can tell what they are

Wattage is 75W. Poop is normal and you can't recognise what he ate. It consists of a white part and a brownish one. Not greenish, blackish, yellowish, reddish. No diarrhea. Does your get stress scales? Mine for some reason gets them when hs gets exposed to any sort of warm lighting

Ok that's a good bulb - try increasing the wattage to 100 BUT YOU MUST have a digital probe thermometer to get a temp you do not want to burn him up- babies 105-110 juvies/ adults 95-110 no hotter

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
