Scales turning black after shed

I noticed that after both of my little beardies shed (babies) a few scales remained and turned black. Some even fell off. Any ideas to what is causing this? Dryness? Both of them had this so im wondering if its because of the weather or something. I do soak them so? Thanks!

Are new scales growing in place of the shed black scales? If so, then they could be part of an incomplete or uneven shed which is relatively normal as far as I know.

The patches are only where they shed so I'm thinking its probably because of that. They are veryy slowlyy growing back it seems
