Saying hi for the 1st time!!!! I need help with names!!!!

Hi! So I've been wanting a bearded dragon for the longest time and I finally got one! One problem... until I find out if it's a boy or a girl can't give it a name. Any suggestions for name I'm pretty set on Komodo if it's a boy, I just need a name for a girl.

Hi, I'm Amy. I just got my Beardie yesterday. I think mine is a boy,b ut not sure, so I decided on Arei. I got him for my Bday, which is tom., easter and since I am an aries I figured Arei would fit a girl or boy. Yours is adorable. Mine has yet 2 eat and I am being a worrying first time mom, but this site has helped ease my worries. I actually did a search or ask.com for bearded dragon names. Arei wasnt on there, I figured that one out myself, but might help, or u could always go with Komona, maybe just watch for yours personiality and I am sure u will come up with something Good Luck and Welcome!....Amy

Hi, Amy! Mine is only 5 inches long from nose to tail. How long is yours? And has been eating crickets like crazy but hasn't touched any greens or veggies (which is normal when they are juveniles). Some advice that has worked for me is to make sure the crickets (if you are feeding it crickets) are small, no bigger than the space between the eyes. Also, I don't know what kind of decor you have in Arei's enclosure but if you can take it all out when you put in the cricket's so he can see them run around, that worked wonders for me... that helped me out a lot! Before they would just hide in any spot they could find.

There are plenty of ambiguous / unisex names that will work for boys and girls to choose from like Chris, Pat, Joe, Avery. Allot of us give names that are not of human origin like, Dino, Budo, Godzilla, Puff, etc.... I recommend that you think about some characteristic that you like about your beardie or perhaps a character that you liked from a movie or something. Scorch is named after Ben Stiller's Scorcher action hero character from Tropic Thunder. Good luck with your little one and have fun picking just the right name for you!
