Same Dragon???

I just received 2 dragons in the mail today and the male I got doesn't seem to be the same dragon I picked out from pics... I know they do get stressed out from shipping and change to a darker color from it but tell me if it is just me or is this a different dragon?

I looked at the tail pattern, and it looks like it might be the same dragon. Would need better pictures taken by you, in about the same angles as the ones from the breeder to give you a better opinion.

Just to let you know, depending on the breeder, some of them use photoshop to make their dragons look better than they actually do. But also, dragons colors do change with stress, and depending on the lights that you're using, that also makes a difference.

Take some more pics, and let him warm up, and get acclimated to his new surroundings and lights. Then retake the pics again and go from there.

That being said, I can say with about 100% certainty that this is the exact same dragon, has grown an bit so everything is a bit different, but let him calm down and be happy and you will see his colors within the first pictures.

Without a shot if the side of the face, they look like the same one. Your photos he is much darker (normal) but the pattern looks the same. Compare the distinctive markings (the light bands down the back , they both appear to have two broken light bands two solid bands from the head, and facial patterns such as around the ear and on the lips) to the sale images. They will line up in shape if not color.

I would consider it highly deceptive to use photoshop on sale listings,for more than just balancing. Other methods are getting the dragon bright by giving a bath or putting it under certain lights.

Once he settles in your dragon will show those nice bright colors. He looks grumpy right now, can't blame him You can try a warm bath to see if he brightens up.

^ that, if my iPhone didn't crap out I would show you an picture of him inside versus outside, as he darkens right up like that when he gets outside as it's not as hot as it is inside

Looking at the pattern of back bands and comparing them, it looks to be the same dragon. He is probably stressed and dark from being shipped and being in a new environment. Give him time but I really think they are the same from the patterns on the back.

Oh good! I'm glad it's the same dragon.. Why is he so dark colored? Got him Tuesday and he is still dark colored.. Hopefully he will change back to his lighter color.

Are your temps ok? If so it's probably because he is unhappy at going through the mail in a box.

Would be a good idea to check with the breeder to see what temps the beardie had previously so that it will help him adjust quicker.

What temps are you getting now for basking spot, ambient & cool side? What type of thermometer are you using and what brand & type of UVB do you have? All of these things make a BIG difference in the color & happiness and health of the beardie.

I agree with the others that the patterns look the same.
