Safe Substrate?

I recently moved my BD into a viv with a ceramic tile floor. Before that he was in a tank with sand and he would dig a lot. He has been in the new viv for a few weeks now and he still kinda walks around in the corners and tries to dig. He does it to the point of exhaustion and it looks kind of sad lol. I was thinking a box of some kind of soil might be a good idea.

Does anyone know of any kind of dig-able soil that will not harm the BD?

There isn't one.

Any loose substrate poses an impaction risk, and a sanitation risk.

Brandons right (again lol) but i have seen people with avid diggers put a bowl of rabbit pellet in their beardies viv so they can dig. I wouldnt do this unless your beardie is an adult, and you plan to change it very frequently. My boy is a digger, but i dont trust any loose substrate at all, even if its just a bowl and they eat out of their cage, so i bought a peice of fabric from walmart (you can use a dishtowel, small blanket, etc) and folded it up and put it in his hide or in the corner of his viv and this satisfies his urge to dig. It works for two purposes too, since he cuddles up in it at night to sleep. Lol so this is definetly a safe choice, its worth a try!
