I have a question about the uvb you are using. If you have a reptisun 10 tube (this is a good uvb bulb) that is over say 4 months of age, that is one reason for their lack of appetite. What uvb are you using? The reptisun 10 tube needs to be between 6 and 8 inches from your dragons' basking spot.

This inches is for the Mercury Vapor Bulbs, such as the mega rays. The reptisun 10 tubes need to be between 6 and 8 inches from the basking spot because the uvb isn't as good as the mega ray's used to be. The reptisun 10 tube, from what I remember, gives off the same uvb as sitting in the shade outside, so it needs to be closer to the beardies than the MVB's do.

Oh wow.. I have the 18 inch reptisun 10.0 about a for away, it's not ven above his basking spot Amrit going through the screen on my 40 gallon tank. Besides the coccidia amounts my beardie has, is this UVB deficiency causing him not to grow now?

i just bought the reptisun 10.0 bulb with the repsi sun fixture. it is suppose to be 6 to 8 inches from the bsking spot? Someone told me if the 10.0 is too close to the beardie it can cause blind ness, is this true? i am so confused =[

Well your cage limits you because you can't put the fixture in the cage (unless you custom make something). Set it on top of the cage, and if you are using it in the 40 gallon, take the screen off for better exposure. The screen cuts a lot of it out.

thank you! I gave Sabrina her second dose of medicine today & force fed her more baby food with some calcium powder & she actually licked the baby food a little bit more today than yesterday, she is still very very frail, im hoping she comes around, it's only been 24 hours since she has gotten her medicine and everything so we will see. There are many baby foods to consider, any meat flavor, squash, carrots or other vegetables flavors will also do. It is basically what does your dragon like best type thing from there.

i bought the turkey and vegetables, peas and squash.

i feed her as much as she will eat considering she hasn't been wanting to eat much, although today i had to stop feeding it to her because she actually ate a good amount and i didnt want to make her too full since she hasnt been eating a lot, i didn;t want her to throw it up or anything. this has been day 3 since she has been to the vet and every day she eats a little more and i;m hoping she continues to eat & grow
