We've had some suprisingly gorgeous weather in the UK recently, so at the weekend we decided to give Ruben his first taste of the outdoors.
We were considering where to take him as we have no garden, and my parents live in the glorious countryside, but we didnt want to take him for 45 minute drive in this heat.
So where to go?
Well in true British fashion... we took him to the pub!
British sunshine!
He was a little apprehensive at first.
(yeah yeah there is a reason my friends call me Casper. Pale powah!)
Giving a withering glare to my other half.
A bird spooked him and he decided to climb me. Safety at higher altitudes perhaps?
Once he'd got used to the sounds I sat down with him to have a taste of grass.
Sir was not amused & only moved to come running for me.
Rube can act all tough and like he doesnt enjoy our cuddley times, but put him in the outdoors and all he wants is his momma and his blankie!
As soon as he has shuffled onto my lap he lightened up a little. He spent the rest of the afternoon pancaking on my lap.
We bought Rube a glass of water and brought his syringe but he wasnt impressed. Insted he much preferred being fed my cold passionfruit juice
I drew the line when Mark tried to give him a sniffle of cider. Men.
We all had a great time and cant wait until Miso is big enough to join us. We'll definatly be taking more trips with Rube this summer.
We did however get plenty of "is that woman a serial killer" looks, and one child did ask what was wrong with my kitten :laughhard:
Ruben let us know it was time to go by clawing his way up my shirt from my lap and glaring.
I couldnt resist sharing ^_^
