Rough acrilic and can I sand it?

Hey guys I just got a nice chunk of a acrilic arch from Carolina Customs and I noticed it has some edges

Would I be able to sand it or smooth it out? If so what would be the best method? I don't mind it being a tad rough but I think the parts that are pointy are from the production of the item itself. I was even thinking of using a razor on the pointy parts instead of sand paper

I don't see the harm in doing that. In addition to your ideas you could cut a bevel on the sharp edge, but if it isn't large/thick then shaving it down or sanding it should work. I'd just rinse it off when you're done to clean it up.
