Hey Guys/Girls,

Well i've been a member of the community for quite some time.
never posted or made an attempt to get known either, but its finally time
for me t get my first dragon, yay me! lol

Ok, this is what i have so far.

I have a 40 gal breeder.
A combo fixture which is 36' long.
and i bought another dome fixture for the basking spot.
as for bedding, i was actually looking at getting sand,
but read a lot of bad reviews so i decided to stay away from it.
so i'm sticking to paper towels for a good while until my baby grows.

i had a question about some bedding that i read about, i think it was
called the excavator or something like that? dont really remember.
but if anyone knows what i'm talking about, what do you think about it?

oh and is my set up alright?
i'm gonna run to walmart tomorrow morning
and get a thermometer, does anyone know of a good brand?

Hi Rocko

I don't really know anything about breeding so I can't help you with that. As far as the thermometer goes, just get one with a temperature probe at the end and I think you'll be fine. And yes you're right about the sand - babies sure do like to taste/lick everything so it'd be a good idea to stay away from that for now. Congrats on your beardie!

yeah, well i'm not planning on breeding lol. thanks anyway.

yeah as of now i have a Reptisun 5.0, which i read that was ok. so ill keep it
for about 2 weeks and then i'm gonna get a 10.0.
