That is a male. Their wing have to unfold after molting. It will take a while and the wing will be full sized. My Dragons and Geckos love when I find one of those because they get a nice soft treat!

That's a good question. Most people here buy them from websites but I don't think our sources ship internationally. You'd have to search around the internet to see if you can find some breeders who will ship to you.Where in Australia can i buy roaches???

Oh, I'm sorry! You pull out that many males to start out a new colony! lol Silly me! I thought you had more females than males; then, I would have wanted to buy some from you with the gene like that....

I think most people use heating pads. it's safe and easy and, like you said, the temps can be adjusted. What is the general consensus on the best heating source? I've seen people talk about heating tape and heating pads. For the tape, how do you guys run it? Just coil it up under one side of the bin? Seems like it would be easier to control the temps with a heating pad since you can change the heat settings.

How can you tell their gender when they aren't adults?

Look at the last segment of the lower side of the nymphs. On the females the last segment will be about twice the size of a similar size male. You will get the hang of picking out the males pretty fast.
