Obie unexpectedly died on Saturday. 
She was livelier than she had been in a long time that morning; lots of glass dancing and I was excited to see that she was active again and thought she was coming out of her brumation. Then she crawled into her hide and went to sleep. I checked up on her a few hours later and she had passed.
She had a small wound on the side of her tail that was taking a long time to heal and I suspect that she may have got an infection although there was no signs that I could see and it was cleaned regularly. I cannot see anything else that may have done her in. Although she has had a lot of struggles throughout her life. I got her as a "rescue" from petco. I nabbed her after I saw them feeding her only carrots and mealworms as a little bugger and the end of her tail was bit off. I got her home and quickly found out that she had also become impacted from being on calci-sand. After a few months she was in tip top shape. Because of her tail being damaged she always had trouble shedding the end of her tail. I was usually able to help her along by massaging her tail underneath warm water. She also fought off two bouts with yellowfungus or retained sheds. Never really got a definite answer on either case but one of the bouts looked more like the yellow fungus and the second may have been a bad shed. Overall despite her few struggles and difficult times, she was a very active dragon and like most others she was a voracious eater and used to glass dance in the mornings until I came to feed her.
She hadn't been eating regularly for awhile, but everyone I spoke with said she was simply brumating. When she did eat she seemed to be passing her stools just fine. She was bathed regularly so dehydration shouldn't have been a problem. She seemed to have gotten more clumsy over the last year. She lived in a 4x2x2 enclosure for the last 6 months with halogen lighting and a reptisun 10.0. Prior to that she lived in a 90 gallon enclosure under a MVB (usually a Megaray SB).
Her are some photos of her from the 4.5 years I had her. She was dearly loved and will be missed.

Getting all grown up
One of her first (of many) setups in her 90gallon tank. This particular substrate was moved after about a week after finding out its dangers. She went through a phase were she would put her face against on end of that dish of water and then swim in place. It was a funny sight.
She used to love little outdoor adventures although she always seemed paranoid about the birds.

She scared my girlfriend when she jumped off the bed into this box and Lauren heard a crunch. The crunch was just the wheat thins though and she came crawling out all astonished.
