As posted under introductions Rinehart is my new beardie. I got him and his enclosure off of Craigslist. He couldn't be a better fit so far. He hasn't touched any salad yet but did eat about 10 crickets today! I just got him Friday night so seems like he's doing great so far. He's about 3-4 years old- I'm his 3rd home! Poor guy!
I heard him crawling around his tank today and looked over to see he had gotten out of bed and learned how to use the stairs to his platform. Later in the day he went all the way to the top and then back down.
He looks so different in the body than my old beardie, but so cute. This was yesterday I got him out to clip his nails- they were getting caught on EVERYTHING. He had been housed on reptile carpet which I'm sure didn't help the nail situation. I went to Lowes last night and he's now on slate.
He wanted to explore after getting his nails done, he sure is fearless for being in a new home!
This evening he was running crazy around his tank and glass dancing so I caved and let him out (I've been trying to leave him alone for a few days to settle in) and he immediately got snuggled into the couch and went off to bed
Seems like he's doing well so far. I couldn't have asked for a better fit. I hope he's as happy living here as I am to have him.
