I just bought a male yellow trans and he is not the nice healthy dragon he was so post to be when I bought him. straight out of the box his eyes were runny and he was not just cold but freezing.He was all tangled up in the bag and reached out and grabed me as soon as I got him out poor guy but here is his problem

not moveing much at all. beard stays jet black. one eye runny. stays with his head in a very upright position. not eating on own

He has pooped and it looked very normal
he is not eating but I got himto take veggie baby food and two smashed roaches Yuck
he is housed in a 4 x 24x18 critter cage by livingston lizard lounge
he has a brand new 10.0 uvb and a 70 watt heat bulb
he is on newspaper
I have had him since yesterday

He is a yellow trans and I bought from a person who had no other dragons and said that he was in perfect health ( ya right ) They had him since 8 inches and I was told he just came out of bramution ( sp )

Make sure your temps are right.
70 watts may be low depending on where you are ect ect.
I would reccomend a vet visit.
He will probably put your guy on an antibiotic regiment.

Make sure to have a fecal done. My beardie had a runny/gunky eye and she had parasites.

I agree with Tom....I'd also up my temps a bit especially at night time using a CHE. Here in Cali we have one more nice day before the storms are coming in if you could get him into some natural sunlight this wouldn't hurt either providing it's not windy where you are.

Do you see an abnormal amount of saliva when he opens his mouth?
Any funny noises when breathing or difficulties in breathing?

When you get him in to see the vet if you are subscribed antibiotics (which I'm almost possitive they will) don't forget it's easier on them if you replace the good gut flora that the antibiotics kill with a probiotic. Then they aren't suffering with a belly ache and your chances of their appetite not dropping to drastically is much better. :wink: My old vet was in Modesto...he prescribed dangerous life threating med's to my beardies and also had not said anything about the probiotics. I'd PM Tracie when you get the med's just to have a second opinion before administering...Tracie saved my beardies a couple of times from being given wrong med's, the wrong dosage of meds, even fatal to beardie meds...like Ivomectin.

this morning I woke up and he is ..... 85% better His beard is less black he is roaming around the cage and looks so much better not holding his head up and both eyes are clear and open. I am so glad to see him looking happy

Thats great that he's looking so much better today...had you upped his temps?
How about his eyes? How are they looking?
