Hi Everyone,
I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who helped me out with Ms. Sheila/Violet. She was a rescue from a craigslist ad that I initially thought was a Yellow Fungus but after much deliberation was determined by all the great people on here to be a bad dehydration and retained shed. So she proceeded to get the best spa treatment that most humans have never had! Baths & Aloe rubs... most of the dark skin came off and we have been getting little glimps' of what's to come... I do have a question... now it seems like she is preparing for a new shed, some of the areas that I previously had removed skin from are turning white & milky. There are still some areas, mainly her back, that have what I call stuck spongy (no scales) skin that hasn't changed. Should I return her to a normal bath schedule and let nature take it's course from here? And if so how long would another shed take? Just for observation purposes I want to try and know what I'm looking for in case I need to treat again. Thanks Again everyone - I can't wait to post before & after pics when she is completely healed!
