Hello,

I recently bought two bearded dragons(last Sunday). I have several dragons already(11 now...), I have been keeping them for almost 5 years. One of the new dragons started acting weird. At first I thought it might be stress from the move but after a few days with no improvement, I decided to have a fecal exam done on him. The results came back with moderate pin worms, very little Coccidia, and postive for Capillaria....
He IS eating. However, he doesn't bask. He is either acting restless trying to get out of the tank or he is laying down in a corner not basking. He is a 13-14" juvenile. I want to try and treat him with reptaid before having him go through harsher medicines. I have both ReptaidXL and regular reptaid. Honestly, I bought the reptaid for emergancies/overall health. I have never had a dragon with parasite issues...
My questions are:

1.Has anyone ever dealt with Capillaria?? I never heard of it until now...
2.Should I go ahead and treat ALL of my dragons w/reptaid?? I know people use reptaid all the time to boost the immune system and to rid dragons of parasites, perhaps its better to be safe than sorry...?
3. One of my females is gravid, is reptaid safe to use on a gravid female?

Thanks for any information/advice!

During relocation stress a dragons parasite count can get a little out of whack. I wouldn't treat anything at the moment. Give it another weak and if conditions don't improve then you can try the reptaid.

Usually a dragon will be able to get the parasite count back down to normal once the relocation stress has settled.

I don't know what Capillaria is though...

I know that the parasites can get a little high during stress.... But his behavior to me is weird. I've never seen a bearded not bask( unless brumating). He never basks. He is either crazy trying to get out or just laying there acting lethargic. He is also only 5 months or so old, so definitely not brumation.
I'm also worried because the person I bought him from, had a dragon die back in Feb. or so( he presumably bought that dragon already sick). That dragon had a fecal done and had parasites and was treated, but he didn't make it. THIS dragon came a week or two after the fact... But from the same place the one who died came from. The one who died was in very bad shape before he passed. My dragon, seems relatively okay. He is kind of skinny. He weights 117 g and is about 13 inches or so. One of my other dragons who is 14 inches weighs 197 g( just weighed all my dragons a few mins ago).

I changed the bulbs around yesterday since the basking issue is the most obvious. I had a MVB over him and switched it out for a regular basking bulb and a reptisun tube UVB. It didn't make a difference though.
I'm just stressed... I do not want to deal with losing a dragon.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
