Hello,
I recently bought two bearded dragons(last Sunday). I have several dragons already(11 now...), I have been keeping them for almost 5 years. One of the new dragons started acting weird. At first I thought it might be stress from the move but after a few days with no improvement, I decided to have a fecal exam done on him. The results came back with moderate pin worms, very little Coccidia, and postive for Capillaria....
He IS eating. However, he doesn't bask. He is either acting restless trying to get out of the tank or he is laying down in a corner not basking. He is a 13-14" juvenile. I want to try and treat him with reptaid before having him go through harsher medicines. I have both ReptaidXL and regular reptaid. Honestly, I bought the reptaid for emergancies/overall health. I have never had a dragon with parasite issues...
My questions are:
1.Has anyone ever dealt with Capillaria?? I never heard of it until now...
2.Should I go ahead and treat ALL of my dragons w/reptaid?? I know people use reptaid all the time to boost the immune system and to rid dragons of parasites, perhaps its better to be safe than sorry...?
3. One of my females is gravid, is reptaid safe to use on a gravid female?
Thanks for any information/advice!
