Responding to locked threads

Hi

There are a few threads which I wanted to post to which have been phpbb auto-locked. Gather from what I read that the lock parameter is set to 30 days (per this thread that's locked viewtopic.php?f=8&t=132001 ) which keeps newbies like me from revising them.

Should I just start a new thread with a link-back? Could the lock parameter be extending to 120 or even 360?

I actually ended up changing it to 45 days. However, I can change it to 90 days reasonably. Beyond that, the thread had easily gone cold enough that it's reasonable to say THAT "conversation" had ended. If you have a similar topic, go ahead and create a new topic (providing earlier ones didn't already answer the question you had).
