Okay about two weeks ago, I took him to the vet because he was having some gaping issues. i was given Baytril for 10 days. However he doesn't react well with Baytril because it completely stresses him out to the point where he is black beard and grey stomach all day. I did give him the medication for the allotted time and he seemed to get better. However a few days later, he started gaping so I took him to the vet again and this time they gave him some orally, but it seemed to be getting worse so they have been giving shots. Three shots of Amiglyde .1ml however with each shot he was actually gaping more. He is going for a fourth shot tomorrow, but at this point should I ask for a stronger medicine?
I keep him warm when we go to the vet with a rice sock. My apartment is 78 to 80 degrees all day every day. His basking spot is 104, I'm using a MVB Arcadia bulb with a 75 gallon tank. The other bulb is a Phillips DuraMax 65 watt indoor flood light. I don't have a top over the tank and both domes are connected to lamp stands. I just don't know what to do at this point. My vet has been giving him shots because he believes that it gets into the blood stream better and has been giving them in the back. The Baytril seemed more effective and was given orally. Any advice at this point would be very helpful.
Besides just sitting around with his mouth open, which seems worse at night and not so bad during the day, he is still eating like a pig.

I went to the vet again because he didn't gape Tuesday or Wednesday after his last shot, but he started again on Thursday. We went for a vet visit today, and the vet was reluctant to give him another shot. He put him on Cefazolin .1 ml for 7 days. At this point, he has started trying to sleep more during the day. If it were up to him, he would sleep in his hide for a good proportion of the day. However he is still eating and has bright colors most of the day. I'm just concerned because he has become more sleep over the last few weeks and I would like some advice on what I can do. The vet said that his lungs and mouth were clear and he didn't hear any clicking. Any advice would be helpful.

He may just have gotten used to breathing that way, or possibly have a slight nasal blockage. Is there a chance that he's a bit too hot ? Is he overweight ? [ And do you have a pic ? ] Maybe lower the basking temp. to 98 -100.

Since his lungs are clear + there's no clicking, I would view that as a good sign and let him be. It might be best to give him a break from the antibiotics, if you want to finish this course probably best to take a break from them. His condition sounds O.K., I wouldn't worry too much.

I don't know about that. His basking spot is 104 regularly and his cage is 80 on the cool side. He weighs 581 grams. His condition sounds okay, but he keeps gaping. When I think he gets better, he has just gaped more and then he gets mucus in his mouth.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
