Hello,

How is he doing today? That's good to hear the injection went well, they can be a little tricky
to do. Gout is elusive & hard to diagnose. The blood serum levels are sometimes normal or
just a little high which could be related to diet or dehyration.
Let us know what the aspiration test results yield. That should help out with diagnosis.
If uric acid crystals are present then they can go from there. Since there is swelling like that
I think it's probably early gout developing.

Need advise!

Did not update for so long.
No improvement on the open mouth breathing, and swollen legs.
Did the aspiration test result for two times, still nothing come out.

Vet is considering Mycoplasma....
Will it possible?

Hello,

Did the vet start him on any Gout medication?
Do you have pictures of the swelling now? Since he does have the swelling, he most likely
has gout. Sometimes if the tophi (uric acid crystals) become hard, aspirating or tapping the
joint may or may not render any fluids. Did they do a blood test to see uric acid counts?

Yes, did the blood test three times since mid July. All normal.
He is not willing to eat vegetables now. Just bugs, the blood test still fine. So she believes he is fully recovered from gout.
She opened his joints to take the sample. She is quite sure it is not the uric crystal as it can be easily washed away by water.

Hello,

Do you have any pictures of him so we can see his physical condition? That is good news if the
blood tests are normal. I would like to see the blood test results though, if you can get a copy of
them that would be great.
Gout depending on the severity & type usually doesn't just go away, it has to be managed so they
don't suffer from gout flareups, etc. While he may be recovered, that doesn't necessarily mean he
wont have flareups from time to time if the health condition isn't managed with meds when needed.

This is the x-ray sis on July 13 ..
We did it again in early August looks the same, bones and lung.
We did not do it again recently, because Vet said if we can see the symptoms obviously, not very helpful to do again... not cheap...

Hello,

His breathing looks normal with him just sleeping in that manner. He might be feeling some type of discomfort because it does appear that is developing early gout. I think you can start getting it treated to help keep it from progressing.
Yes, it is very expensive to get x-rays, bloodwork, etc.
To help initially, go ahead & get some black or tart cherry juice extract to give daily to help with the
kidneys. I would also reduce the amount of protein he is getting right now, & encourage more vegetation & fluids.
Can he move around, climb without any trouble right now?
Remind me again, which UVB you are currently using?
