Respiratory Disease

My beardie is seems to have a decent amount of saliva in his mouth. I also notice him making these noises in his mouth quite frequently. I believe it is him swallowing. He has had a loss of appetite in the last few days but he has also just started PONAZURIL medication for a parasite he has.

I am wondering if 1) if may have a respiratory disease and 2) if the medication can cause a loss of appetite

What are you using for a UVB brand and bulb coil or tube and where in the tank is it? What are the basking temps and how are you taking them? No stick ons they are inaccurate -

If you zoom in on the picture you can somewhat see the saliva in his throat. We use a tube UVB 22inch 10.0UVB. We also have an all in one 125W.

The hot side is between 95 and 100
The cold side is around 80
My beardie is 10 months old.
He was eating on average 15 crickets in morning and night and now he may eat 6 crickets a day.

I would bump your basking temps up a little since hes not feeling well
what is the humidity in the tank?
And your UVB do you have it on the inside or top of screen? And the screen is it a fine mesh or wide holed screen?
And the All in One is what brand and is it unobstructed?

We were having trouble getting the humidity up. It would fluctuate between 10-25 throughout the day/night. Any suggestions on how to raise it?

The UVB is on top of a mesh like screen. It’s an exo terra cage. 12 inches high so the UVB is like 10 inches away from him.

If he has a respiratory infection can he get rid of it on his own or no? I really don’t know what else to do. He keeps making noises from his mouth/throat and just looks like a lot of saliva.

Your gonna need to get him into the vet --- http://www.arav.org
If he does have a RI he will need to be put on a antibiotic --
you can raise the humidity by putting a water dish in the tank - put it on the hot side under the basking light - or more close to the basking light - your gauge is in the center of tank back wall?
And the UVB is good for distance -- I am wondering if hes getting enough UVB - can you take the screen off so hes not getting the filtered UVB? With him having a RI that could be a reason for it -- and the real low humidity the 10-25 might have caused it as well --- Tracie or AHBD can answer that question
Good humidity levels are 30-40% -- we dont want them over 70%
And yes medication can effect appetite but if he does have a RI going along w/ the parasites that is a double wammy
