Ive managed to rescue a female Beardie (who is now named Hope), she is fairly skinny and in need of some TLC and feeding up but the issue i have is that her nails are completely curled under. Their not cutting into her but i can imagine it being uncomfortable for her.
We dont have any specialist vets near by without travelling for a few hours so im hoping theres something i can do myself to help the nail situation.
I know how to cut nails because i cut Liz's often enough but these are exceptionally long and the vein runs fairly long through the nail so trimming would only allow me to remove the smallest amount off the nail.
Her tank now has some rough tile to help file her nails naturally but she seems fairly slow but so does Liz which im guessing is due to time of the year and external temperatures dropping so low. so i doubt she will be active enough to file them down herself.
Is there anyway i can help her with her excessively long nails?
