He actually ate 3 days in a row even with the antibiotic in there. Yesterday he didn't want to eat so I gave him some baby food. He loves it so I'm probably spoiling him, but I'll deal with that once he's better. :D

Today he ate a large hornworm and a few bites of his salad. He also gets a probiotic either mixed in his baby food or on his feeders when he eats on his own. I think I worry too much about his eating habits as he is not skinny and looks perfectly fine. I just know that food on his stomach will help him tolerate the antibiotic. He is currently watching me while he basks.

Overall he is doing good, it would be hard to tell something was wrong if I wasn't a tech and I didn't see the red myself. I told my husband we need to take a pic and he has no choice but to help me when he gets home. I promised him it is not torture, and we'll give him some of his favorite baby food when we're done! I just wish I knew exactly what this was. As I said before, it's no worse but it's no better either.

Thanks for your help and hopefully I'll have a decent picture later!

Archimedes had his recheck today and came back with a clean bill of health! :D :blob5: :blob8: It turns out the red I was fixated on is really normal pink roof of mouth color, the dark spots the vet was concerned about are gone!! He said to keep an eye on it for a month or so to be sure it doesn't come back. (And this is quite difficult to do as he is sick of having his mouth opened!)

I ordered Reptaid XL from beardeddragon.co (which I was hoping would've shipped by now but the website isn't showing it) so I'm going to do a course of that when it gets here. Maybe 2 courses depending on how he does with it.

Thanks everyone, and I will keep you posted if anything changes. Hopefully it won't!!!

Archimedes ate great today! He just got out of his bath and is snuggling with me on the couch. I am so happy he's doing better!

He loves to be out of his viv with me, and loves to watch the other animals in the house. I let him look at Socrates through the glass today again, neither of them seems too impressed with the other. It's like they know they'll never live in the same viv anyway so why bother!

FYI on beardeddragon.co orders: they were delayed due to the hurricane but are shipping everything out very soon.

Hello,

That is great he is doing pretty well right now!
Yes, it is hard to get them to open their mouths sometimes. I am happy to hear that Archimedes had a clean fecal & a good vet visit. The mouth sounds like it has healed up well then & is clearing up too.
I am glad he is doing better. Keep us posted on him.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
