My cousin just got a bearded dragon that was pretty much rescued from people who new absolutely nothing about beardies. He only had a red light for lighting, and wasnt fed the proper diet. He was also fed things he probably shouldnt have had like pineapples. I had to clean him up because some nasty purple sand stuff was stuck to various parts of his body. What I am worried about is the way he walks. His legs are put into an awkward and stiff straight position sometimes when he sits in one spot. Then he will try to walk and its like he doesnt have enough strength in his legs, always tripping over himself and wobbling. He has horrible depth perception too, missing the same superworm right in front of him like twelve times in a row. Im really worried about him. He has plenty of energy, trying to run around and explore, but he has walking problems.

Hi Kalize, it sounds like it's all related to poor nutrition and lack of uvb . Once you get him eating some good food with calcium + vitamin powder and get a good uvb bulb he may improve a bit or at least not get worse. If you have an experienced reptile vet it would be good to have an assessment done. Hope the poor fella will do better for you. You might help him catch his bugs and you can also make a slurry/smoothy from baby food squash, a little Pedialye and some bee pollen all mixed with water. It's good that he has some energy and is trying to eat as well. :)

I'll feed him what you suggested, and he ate a little bit of veggies and four superworms earlier, and is currently basking comfortably. Thanks for the help

Oh, that's a bonus if he likes veggies ! What kind did he eat ? Greens like turnip, mustard, collard, dandelion, escarole + endive are good. Fresh chopped green beans [ small pieces since he's weak ] and squash are good too.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
