Reputable place to buy Phoenix Worms in Florida or online.

Hi I am looking for a reputable shop to buy phoenix worms either in Florida or online.

I've been doing so much reading on these forums that I feel so mad at the breeder/shop my husband & I got our beardy from. He's been with us less than a week & already we're already replacing half of his supplies because they apparently sold us low quality stuff--all Zilla, which I have recently learned is NOT GOOD!--plus they gave my husband superworms & crickets & those guys are getting BIG! My poor Pogo is not even a month old yet, I had to slice those worms in half just to get him to eat some & the crickets I only feed them one at a time so I can keep track of them--which means it takes a bit longer to feed him. But I'm so nervous they'll hide & hurt him. Plus crickets are just disgusting insects in my opinion so if I can get some nice Phoenix Worms locally, because I am NEVER going back to that shop again, I want to start him on them as soon as possible.

Thank you so much for your help, I checked out the website & a few others. Is there any actual difference between Phoenix Worms, Reptiworms, & Calci-worms other than the brand name? I am asking in terms of nutrition, life expectancy, etc.

I ordered 100 Reptiworms Friday, I hope they arrive before next weekend. I'll see if Pogo likes them before I commit to ordering a huge load of them.

They are all just different brands of black soldier fly larvae so in general they're all about the same.

Great, thank you so much Cooperdragon! Glad to know I'll be good w/ what I got. Do I feed them the same as I would other live feed, as much as he can eat for 10-15 min, 2-3 times/day?

I was told by a shop owner to only give 3-4/day as they are very high in calcium. Also to wash them before feeding them to my beardie. :/ ?

A bit of background, I've had Pogo for 8 days, he's still getting used to me. He is 4 weeks old, 7 inches long. He typically only eats about 18-20 crickets/day & has had some supers, but only ate 9 total--he isn't a fan. (I later found out he shouldn't have supers so I'm not even bothering w/ those anymore.) He is offered greens w/ his breakfast & does munch on them & his moist bites, but prefers for me to feed them to him while he basks on his log. He doesn't drink from his water bowl, but I drip water on his nose approximately 3 times per day & he always laps it up. He just gets stressed if I move him to his water/food bowls on the cool side of the tank so I stopped trying and just let him do his thing.

Is there anything I am doing wrong? Any advice is appreciated.

It sounds like you're doing well. The Phoenix Worms are high in calcium but you can offer as many as he wants in the 10 min window just like with other bugs. They are fairly small so he may go through a lot of them but that's OK (but expensive). Just don't dust them with calcium as they don't need it. Rinsing them off is to ensure they don't have any of their packaging is stuck to them. If you inspect to make sure nothing is caught on them it's OK but you can rinse them too if you want.
