Before I start I have 10.0 t5 ho tube lights for all my dragons.

I was just curious about the amount of uvbs produced by the reptisun led t5. Has anyone tested them? Are they harsh on their eyes like coils? I assume they are only good for non desert lizards but figured I would ask you guys and gals. I am just interested in the extended life of them over tubes.

Hello,

I have never used any LED lighting for our dragons yet. I know they are bright, but I don't think there has been a lot of research done on them so far, but they seem to be gaining some popularity.
Which setup are you looking at?

That hood has both a fluorescent UVB bulb and LEDs (as you figured out), and it's a good option IMO.

See my thread on full spectrum lighting: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=235017

You really should plan on having the additional lighting and IMO that hood is a good choice. If you want more expanded options check out some of the other lights discussed in that thread.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
