syd's reptisun 10 - 48" tube light is 6 months old so i ordered a new one from pet mountain. it was delivered to me yesterday and it's a much smaller diameter. the old one is a T12 (1.5 inches) and the new one is a T8 (1 inch). i have no problem getting a new fixture for the new bulb but my question is: will the T8 bulb need to be closer to her or will it be the same uv strength and be okay at the same distance?
