I installed Lizzy's ReptiSun 10.0 tube light about 10 minutes ago. She is immediately different. Running around her cage and digging in her (possibly) temporary substrate for her egg laying. This is something she hasn't done in months. I am actually hopeful that this will help her finish laying the rest of her eggs as she's 2 weeks in to only laying 8 from her 2nd clutch this year.
My question is this: it says that it should be 6-10 inches from the lizard. Her viv is only, what, 18 inches tall? With her substrate at 3 or so inches at the moment, that doesn't leave much room for her branch, cave, or hammock. Also, her cage (a NatGeo kit) came with a styrofoam back which she likes to climb all the way to the top and sit there in the top corner of the hottest part of her cage, like below:
Is the way this is currently set up going to be a problem, below:
Further, she has had this bruising on her eye since we got her (which the vet noted and thought it was from a fall that we brought her in for)... do you think this light will help it?
