Reptile Expo, First or Second Day?

Ok so some of you have probably seen me post and ask questions on here. Finally on the 14th/15th the reptile expo I am going to to get my beardie is happening. My question is, should i go on the first day, or the second day. From what I assume, the first day is when I would find the more 'exotic' so to speak of the morphs for beardies, but the second day I could get one for cheaper possibly?

Mainly just asking because I want to go saturday, but my girlfriend wants to come with me and help me pick one out etc. but she cant go till the sunday, unless she calls in sick from work which I wouldnt want to ask her to do unless necessary.

Im not looking for any big and special morph to begin with, kindof looking for a tiger and probably a red/orange.. maybe a citrus i dunno. But nothing big like the hypoxredxtigerxcitrus etc. etc. I assume i could find one on the second day still..

I have found when it comes to expos of any type it goes like this

First day:
Pro....Pick of whatever you want. The best chance to find exactly what you want.
Con....expect to pay full price

Second/last day:
Pro....people are willing to drop prices. Seller has a beardie for sale for $150....I'll say, "I can only spend $125". They take the offer.
Con...choices may have dropped. May miss out on what you really want.

Like I said, that is for any expo, from reptile to comic books Least in my personal experience.

I'd rather go the first day, as ^ said, there is less of a chance to get a price reduction from the vendor...but sometimes they still budge a little bit :mrgreen:

But generally this is the rule I follow for expo's:

-If you are going for herps...go the first day as early as possible...be early and don't mind waiting a bit to get in! It's worth it because of the selection you will get ot choose from!


-if you are going for stocking up..such as enclosures...feeders..tools/accessories ect ect. Go either day, the second day will have a smaller crowd normally and the prices can be lowered by the vendor and you can haggle a bit more.


edit- if you are going for a bd...you can wait if you want until the second day..generally bd's aren't a HUGE seller like some of the more rare herps that people go for..just from my personal experience. This can vary ofc depending on the expo you go to and the demand..if you want a general idea of what people are looking for, find the facebook page for the expo and just go through and read a bit. I do that with mine this way I know what ot expect in terms of competition of fellow buyers.
