Reptile carpet or tile??

I have a beardie, Darwin. He's super healthy and I want him to stay healthy, of course. I currently use reptile carpet for him, but it's a pain to clean every week and I heard that bacteria tend to grow in it. I'm considering tile since it can be spot cleaned. I just wanted to know which is better, any help is appreciated thank you!

I too use tile w/ paper towels under it to catch the watery poo etc--- it is very easy to keep clean -

Here is a pic of my tile --- you want slated textured ceramic tile this came from Home Depot

I paid $2.99 /tile -- you haft to have it cut to the size of the tank --
