I don't really know how to clean reptile carpet? How do you guys clean reptile carpet?
Is soaking reptile carpet in vinegar and rising it off with cold water ok? Or is washing it in a washing machine ok? If so what kind of detergent should I use ? thanks for the help!

I've never used the stuff.

But surely it's just a matter of putting it through the washing machine then hanging on the clothes line or over a handrail to dry.

Yes you can put it in the washing machine. I would soak it first then you could add a little soap, something mild like woolite. I always do a extra rinse on the washer. Hang to dry. I had 2 so that I would always have a clean one. Since then I have switched to the non adhesive shelf liner, so much easier to clean, it’s cheap and bugs can’t get under it. My Beardie does not poop in his tank, he’s got a spot in the kitchen on the linoleum floor.

I used to throw it in the washing machine and dryer. The dryer was hard on them so I'd hang dry them. The washer is still pretty rough on them and wears them out though. It's good to have a few sets on hand.

Could Dawn be used while soaking with the vinegar?

I would probably not use Dawn dish soap. I do use Dawn & vinegar 50/50 mixture to clean the tiles & tub in the bathroom. Works much better to get off soap scum.

I think after washing ,. a soak for 30 mins in a solution of F10sc made up at 1:200 , then air drying will be effective at killing any germs on the fibres.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
