I use 18" ReptiSun 10.0. I bought a new light at the beginning of December to replace the bulb by the first of January. Well today I decided to go ahead and change the light since I was cleaning the tank. The kids were running around me and the beardie was playing on the floor by my feet. I didnt notice that the light I normally use is thicker than the new one. I put the new one in and it flickered and flickered but didn't stay on. I turned it off and looked at the tube. Looked ok to me. I got the old tube and duh, they are different thicknesses. The new one is T8 and I am sorry I do not remember the size of the old one. Beardie is in the boy's room and they are sleeping.
I called the pet store and I cannot return without a recipt and they only carry the T8 size. PetMountain only carries T8. I assume because the light was flickering, I need a new fixture since it seems I cannot buy my old size. I looked at PetMountain, how can I tell that the fixture will hold the T8 size.
