Repti-Glo 8.0?

Hey, this is my first post on this site and I have to say this site ROCKS
I have been using Repti-Glo 10.0 and I know its bad so Im going to buy a new light tomorrow. I was wondering if Repti-Glo 8.0 is ok. My local pet store still sells 8.0's but no Repti-Sun 10.0's , and I dont want to buy it online. So is Repti-Glo 8.0 good?

Good that you're swapping out the ReptiGlo 10.0.

The ReptiGlo 8.0 tube is an OK bulb. It doesn't have near the UVB emissions of the ReptiSun 10.0 tube, but it is a known SAFE tube, which counts for a lot. It has been discontinued, but indeed, some stores are still getting some in, in varying sizes. I'd still vote for the ReptiSun 10.0 tube if you could manage it, but the Glo 8.0 is ok. It's the only Glo recommended here on the board (along with the ReptiSun 5.0 tube, as an alternative to the ReptiSun 10.0 tube).

if you dont want to order the reptisun online yourself, you can ask your pet shop to order it for you. my pet shop orders whatever special items i needed when i used to have my fish tank. They'll charge u a little bit more but i'm sure its worth it for the health of your beardie

you will get the best prices online for a reptisun 10.
I have used the reptiglo 10 and the 8 was a more consistant bulb.
I have been switching to the reptisun 10's 1 by 1
