repti carpet

whats the best way to stick repti-carpet down. considering the heat would prob melt any velcro if i stick it with the adhesvie pads provided. not so much of a problem on the flooor of the viv but i am puttinga platform into his tank and it will be under his basking spot so it will be hot and i dont want the carpet just to slip off the platform. thanks guys

You could sew the velcro onto the repticarpet so there will be no messy adhesives.

that did cross my mind but how would i secure the other peice of velcro to the wooden base? or are there any other alternatives of velcro?

i use velcro to hold the fluorescent fixture to the back of falkor's viv and part of it sits just inches directly under the basking light. haven't had any issues yet.

thanks guys. another concern now. my UVB strip is only 1/4 cm above rrepti-carpet...could the bulb burn the carpet??

Maybe I am misunderstanding what you mean, but how can your UVB be that close(1/4 cm) to the carpet? Unless you are putting the carpet on the back or sides of the enclosure.. I am confused. :roll:
Even if your strip UVB were that close to the carpet it will not burn. They barely put off any heat.
