Soooo, I rescued a beardie on Monday, a lovely boy named Reptar. He is SUPER sweet and quirky....I'm already in love and it's only day two.
His original owner had him in a 10 gallon tank, on blue sand, and a heat rock. Just a normal bulb for light. I have no idea how he survived this long without any serious damage. He is stained blue all over...I managed to help him out of some dried on shed so he has one normal looking leg now and I got a bunch of dried blue shed off around his eyes and mouth, but we have some bathing and work to do to get the rest off. His new home is a 30 gallon long tank until I can find a 75 for him....he's still young though so he's fine for a bit. He's in heaven compared to the 10 gallon he was in. He's not overly thrilled about eating his greens and veggies and fruits. I keep offering them to him and he will lick them, but otherwise ignores them. I will keep trying. He does like his crickets and I'm ordering some worms tomorrow. Any advice on getting him to eat his greens is appreciated.
His name is Reptar, not sure how old or what morph. Decided to keep the name as it suits him. I looked at a morph page and they all look alike to me, haha! I will measure and weigh him tomorrow. He is under a year though.
Here are some pictures!
