Hello,

i'm looking for some insight into giving reptaid to a baby beardie who has lost his appetite.

my set-up is good, i've eliminated the stressors he could be having such as seeing his own reflection or seeing whats going on in the room, as well as even reducing his tank size (made a ~30gallon out of a 50). He is just not eating by himself, ive offered dubia, miniworms, mini superworms, waxworms, crickets, veggies... he's just not interested. Only thing he does is eat from the syringe as i hand-feed him repta-aid.

I've acquired a bottle of reptaid and am looking for a way to administer it. the guide says drips, and to measure the drips through the actual needle but i don't feel safe feeding it with a sharp needle.... what's the best way to administer these? I know you can inject dubia, but since he doesnt eat them could i mix 2 drips into his repta-aid mixture that he does eat?

What have your experiences been with baby beardies and reptaid?

thank you very much

about 2 weeks now tom, first 1-2 days he ate some and ever since he's been on a hunger strike, basically living off repta-aid feeding through a syringe.

Its only been 2 weeks so its more than likely relocation stress.
The feeding by syringe is probably prolonging the stress.
I would stop for a few days and just let the pooper settle in.

ah i see, i mean he willingly takes it from the syringe.. no force-feeding involved.. but guess thats a good idea i just havent seen feces in couple of days ;/

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
