repsun 10.0 issues

so i went out and got a repsun 10.0 tube and bought a ge advantage fluorescent light fixture that was rated for a f18t8 which is what the tube is. i got everything hooked up and put the tube in and the thing buzzed and flashed but never lit up. so im not sure if the tube was bad but i hope i didnt nuke it. please help if u can.

Yep, it fizzled out. Return the bulb and get another, same brand and all. That is rather weird, those are pretty good tubes. Did you have it mounted horizontally or at an angle ?

also make sure your transformer is the correct wattage for this size tube

ok...so false alarm the bulb apprently needs to heat up for awhile (could be up to 2-5 min.) before it fires up. so stoked its not dead. thank you all for the advice.
