I have been using 75 and 100 watt house bulbs for dudes basking light. I was just wondering how often everyone checks the basking spot temps and changes bulbs? When i put a new bulb i place it off to the side of his basking spot to get the temp up and i gradually have to move the light more and more directly overhead to keep the temp right. Sorry if this is unclear, sort of hard to explain, just wondering how everyone else makes sure the basking spot is up to temp all the time. I guess i just find it annoying tying the thermometer probe up to his basking branch to check every couple days.
