Relocation stress?

Hey guys...

I got Myra almost a week ago. Here are the stats...

Starter tank
100 watt basking bulb with a basking temp of around 105 degrees
Measured with a temp probe
ReptiSun 10.0 UVB bulb inside the tank
Cool side runs around 75 degrees

See her marks?

She's eating crickets. Not as much as I think she should but she is eating and pooping. She likes to get in her water dish as well and I mist her.

I read to decrease location stress to put black construction paper around the tank except the front. I've done that. She's in a room with our other dragon but can't see him. Is there there any way she could be sensing him?

Please give me your feedback! I'm worried about her! Thanks in advance!

How big is that tank? I think she to close to the uvb. She needs to be 6 to 8 inches away. Also do you know what the temp is on the plant? It maybe to hot with the 100 watt since she is closer to the bulbs with the plant.

It seems that she is about two to three inches away from the uvb bulb, this is too close. The basking site should be around 6-8 inches away as the previous guy posted. Also, I could be wrong, but it looks as if the probe isn't making contact with the surface of the half log hide that you have set up. If the probe tip is not making contact then it could be taking the ambient temperature and if that is reading 105 then the surface may be too hot.

So is she basking enough? If not, then she will not eat the necessary amount.

If the basking isn't the issue, and the temps are fine, then maybe try blocking out the front as well.

Thanks for the info!! I've never read that about the UVB bulb!! I'm ordering her a bigger cage but for now I'll take the UVB and put it on top of the screen you think? That could surely be the problem. She likes to get on that plant right near the light. She does seem to be basking ok. The temp probe usually sits right on top. She had been moving around and it got moved.

Could being too close to the bulb also be why she's not a voracious eater?

I've read that screens can filter out a substantial amount of uvb. Where you have it mounted is fine. I suggest lowering the plants that she likes to hang out on. That hide away log you have seems like the perfect basking height. So if you can adjust the plant somehow, maybe lean it on the log or cut it down, then that would be ideal. Maybe take it out altogether. It's a nice decoration lol but your babies health is more important.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
