Reflector for UVB Tube Hood

My UVB Tube (Reptisun 10.0) is on top of my beardie's wire mesh and I know that can filter out some rays but adding a reflector supposedly can help with that. I have no way to mount it inside his viv right now since it's too short and he'd be able to crawl into it, so until he gets bigger this is his only option.

Is there an easy way to build your own reflector inside of a store-bought hood? Can you just put tinfoil or sheet metal in there? Anyone have experience with this?

I bought the hood from the pet store because I was worried about getting him set up at that point so I just bit the bullet and bought the expensive hood that zoo med makes for the reptisun tube - I think it is this one.

Any help would be appreciated. I want him to have all the help he can get while he grows!

It doesn't have a built in reflector already? Bummer. The shiny side of aluminum foil works, just not quite as well or as attractively as a manufactured one.

I thought the ZooMed hood has a built in reflector. Even with a T8 and reflector you'll need to bring at least some of the basking area quite close (up to about 6'') for the UVB to be very effective so the tree in the back should take care of it.

I didn't think that it did but now I will have to double check when I get home because I may have made myself a liar. I'll let you know! Is there a facepalm emoji? Lol
